please continue to fill out the form. note that all the starred (*) fields are obligatory. to submit the application, click "apply". after sending your application, a new pop-up window will appear, informing you if your application went through. if your application was successfully submitted to us, you will receive an automated email confirmation. please also check your spam folder!
after receiving this confirmation, please allow us a couple of days to get back to you.
2nd option - email application
send us an email at researchordie[at]b12.space with the workshops that you would like to take. please provide us with your full name, full address (including country), a video link and a biography. if you would like, you can add a short motivation letter for each workshop.

unfortunately, we will no longer be able to hold your spot in the workshop and it might be offered to another applicant.
can i apply for a scholarship?
this year b12 is granting scholarships for its 2024 edition for dancers/performers who are coming from any zone of military conflict and had to flee.
we believe in non-violent conflict solutions and condemn war and its originators.
consequently b12 wants to help and support the people. donating money is one thing that we have done, but we would also like to give dancers an opportunity. an opportunity to feel welcomed here in berlin and gain back a fraction of normality in their lives by joining b12 workshops, free of charge.
we have given and will give away workshop spots for b12 spring, b12 summer and b12 fall. please follow us on social media to find more details.
we welcome you here at the b12 family and look forward to receive your application.
i don’t have a video link - can i still apply?
it is obligatory to send us a video link because it provides us with an important perspective of you. if you don't have a representative video link, you can still apply, but it will be much harder for us to grant you a spot.
what is the "waiting pool"?
when a workshop fills up, we create a second "pool" of applicants. if a place opens up, we will offer the spot to one of the applicants in the "waiting pool".
I might not be available for all the days of the workshops or performance projects. can i still apply?
if you already know that you have a conflict, please do not apply for these workshops or performance projects. we look for people who can commit to the entire duration of the workshops.
do i need to write an individual motivation letter for each of the workshops i apply for?
no, but if you want to help with our decision-making process, you can write a motivation paragraph for each workshop application.
can i drop into or swap a workshop once i am in berlin? or if i have more energy - can I take another workshop?
because of many factors, b12 needs advance registration for its workshops - before the workshop begins. you cannot swap right before or after a workshop has started. please visit also our terms & conditions.
i have been accepted to a workshop. can i change to another workshop?

what should i consider about the covid-19 situation?
here we wanted to give you some information about the covid-19 situation. you will find this below - but please keep in mind that all the other festival facts, which are in the faqs or in the terms and conditions are still valid.
right now we don't have any measures planned. this might change.
we are excited to be in the studio together, either with a small group of people or a bigger crowd. all the teachers have been instructed to follow measures, whatever they are at that point and we ask the same from all participants.
for safety reasons, there are a couple of things you have to keep in mind:
traveling and quarantine:
when you travel, measures and rules implemented by governments, states, districts, travel companies, institutions, and b12 may change before and during the festival, due to the pandemic. when you book your trip, please make sure to get travel insurance which allows you to re-book or cancel with a refund for your tickets. please consider quarantine rules. we will work very hard to make the schedule happen the way we have it organized right now. however we cannot guarantee that the schedule will happen as planned, due to covid-19, nor compensate for any financial loss from traveling or quarantine or any resulting loss of funds. generally speaking, if a country issues a travel ban we will reimburse the workshop fee. in that case, we will assess each situation per request.
for more information on traveling to germany, please go here.
cancellation of the festival:
we absolutely don't want to cancel the festival and we will do everything possible to make the festival happen. we put a lot of effort into it once again and are eager to be with all of you. still, we are dependent on how the pandemic develops, so in the event we would have to cancel, we will reimburse you 100% of the workshop fee you paid. please note that in this event we can't compensate for travel or lost funds for accommodation etc.
how to get information on the latest b12 news and measures:
if there is an update, we will inform all of you via the website in the menu under updates and/or email about the latest developments, before and during the festival.
thank you for being with us and supporting us by understanding the measures we have to consider if they are necessary.
how can i contact b12 if i have a question?
