embodied play

each day will begin with a guided improvisation class to spark the connection between our sensations and physical possibilities. we will experience the tasks within a flow, and later zoom into these ideas with more time, creativity, and conversation. the workshop portion will include learning existing material, playing compositional games, and opening dialogues. we will explore other facets of individual expression and theatricality through storytelling - physical, written, and spoken. olivia offers space for dancers to dive deeper into their ability to juggle multiple physical, sensorial, and creative tasks. she encourages dancers to listen to their own movement habits, while inviting in new approaches. by exploring the source of our movement, we develop our physical potential and clarity of expression as performers. Every class and workshop is a part of an ongoing research process. drawing inspiration from over a decade of teaching gaga, training in other somatic techniques, staging experiences, and creating with makers, such as sharon eyal and alan lucien øyen, among others.

please be aware of our early bird special offer for this workshop! you can apply for this offer up until the 15th of september 2024. after the 15th the regular workshop fee applies. applications are accepted up until one day before the workshops starts.
