the playing body
inspired by a wide range of forms and practices, the bulk of my work is rooted in dance and theatre. i am to inspire creativity through questioning, noticing, acting and reacting. i use games, tasks, scenarios and improvisations to access and enhance the way we communicate and understand each other as human beings, often sticking to the mantra: it's not what we do, but how we do it. we will look at the creative possibilities within objects, voice, sounds, rhythm and space, exploring how these relate to movement, improvisation and performance. workshops are lead with a clear structure, but i am heavily inspired by those who are sharing the space with me. i Hope to see you there!

biography
Born in England in 1988, Scott found a love for the arts at a young age. He spent much of his childhood doing magic tricks and dancing in local theatres. At the age of 14, he began four years of training in dance and theatre at The BRIT School, graduating in 2006. He then went onto study at London Contemporary Dance School, graduating in 2009 with a first-class degree in Contemporary Dance. Scott has worked extensively as a performer with some of the world's leading dance and theatre makers, including Lloyd Newson, dimitris papaioannou and Robert Wilson, to name a few. He spent six years as a member of Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, performing Bausch’s eclectic repertoire worldwide and creating original roles in two new works for the company. with a deep rooted interest in the human condition, scott’s work is inspired by dance artists, theatre makers, circus performers and visual artists.
