Freshmotion

Who can do more can do less, is marion's motto. Freshmotion, through velocity and body control, aims to bring bodies to deliver their full potential to gain endurance and speed through an adapted physical preparation. The Floorwork technique engages the body in a higher conscience of the ground and the body centre, using the floor. Marion’s energetic dance, driven by her experimentations in capoeira, stunt, is a way to bring the dancing body to poetry. Fluidity is an important part of her work as well as each participant’s creativity through improvisation and research work on movement. She finds inspiration and creativity within the physical dance theater of B.F.A.M, and creates a full-bodied and highly energetic dance. She teaches that technique in various masterclasses in France, and abroad, including Au Brana, Amplitudes Danse, Varium, Scenario Pubblico, Fre3 Bodies, and Descalzinha.

some workshops offer group improvisation or partnering. these workshops elements may or may not be possible and the teachers and choreographers will modify their workshops accordingly in line with the health and safety measures required at the time. please stay flexible. thank you!

Marion had a multidisciplinary training background with young dancers ensemble leading her to join Sara Ducat’s dance company, in France. After graduating, she conducted many dance projects in french professional dance schools, such as Danse à L’Ecole, and prepared emerging young dancers to integrate superior art schools, like CNCD d’Angers / Fratellini. From 2015, she started to cooperate as performer and creator with Brotha From Anotha Motha Company, in France/Tunisie, directed by Marcel Leeman and Seifeddine Manaï, with project performances Nullwert and Shine My Blind Way. In 2016, she collaborated as choreographic assistant of Manaï for the parade of La Biennale De La Danse in Lyon. From 2013 to 2018, she worked as a dancer and performer with the choreographer, Pierre Michael Faure, in France. she then joined Sylvie Balestra’s Slyer Company and Marie-Elisabeth Wachter’s Hors Sol. She also worked with Raphael Olive in the Compagnie Intermédiaire. In 2017, she created her first choreography for Brotha From Anotha Motha called Alone With Everybody, which staged young dancers in public spaces. Then she created M.I.R, a choreographic piece for the Conservatoire of Tarbes. She also created and performed her solo, Happiness Does Not Wait, and, in 2019, joined Hafiz Dhaou & Aicha m’Barek’s Chata Company for L’Amour Sorcier.
