Kopfkino

is it a dream, fiction or reality? is the mind outside or inside the body? we create situations and relationships between our bodies, minds and our surroundings. if the situation is good and safe, we will concentrate on our Shared Levitation partnering, teaching Partnering technique, repertoire and working with it creatively. if the situation doesn't allow body contact we focus on physical theatre which allows abstract rhythms of movement to come alive and, from time to time, appear humorous. the contrast between non-verbal and verbal language and bodies, catapults the research into a new dimension of contemporary dance. we seek to challenge ourselves by abruptly changing between qualities of movement, characters and emotions. our interest in this process is to observe the relationship between individuals and the group, the dynamics and resulting situations, using our intuition, games and a collective mind, as well as contemporary dance and physical theatre as the basis for interpersonal contact. the inspiration for the research, kopfkino, is a philosophical monologue, which explains that each person is dealing with everyday events differently, and to which extent individual, physical, and mental well-being often depend, not on the situation we find ourselves in, but on our attitude towards the events happening around us. we constantly have the opportunity to decide how we perceive and process everything. We are excited to explore, dare, risk, laugh, enjoy and move with you!

some workshops offer group improvisation or partnering. these workshops elements may or may not be possible and the teachers and choreographers will modify their workshops accordingly in line with the health and safety measures required at the time. please stay flexible. thank you!

shared Levitation

Shared Levitation is a platform for performance and training in Contemporary Dance and Partnering. It was founded by Marion Sparber and Alan Fuentes Guerra in 2018. Shared Levitation Partnering is based on the principles of action – reaction, wants to liberate the participants from aesthetics of dance and enhances playfulness and functionality instead: an easy way to get excited again and again and to lure the inner child out. In addition, Shared levitation tries to eliminate prejudices regarding gender, body type, weight, and age. Anyone can be lifted and lift! Within the work of shared levitation marion and alan taught in over 70 festivals and school, dance-centres and companies all over the world and created work for descalzinha danza, pera gau university of cyprus, aorca summerlab and kunsthumaniora antwerp.
