Marijke Eliasberg
the next stage project
your mind as your power tool
a movement journey into your thoughts, your choices, to express yourself. I have been a dancer, teacher, and choreographer for 30+ years, but since my extensive martial arts Tai Chi Chuan studies with Chinese Grandmaster William C. C. Chen, I experience dance totally differently. Mindfulness enhanced my dance and my vision of dance and dancers. Nothing changed, but at the same time, everything changed and is different. How is that? My mind. Empowering awareness energy and physical energy. Slowing down to learn at a deeper level and feel energy. To be able to accelerate with an inner understanding and control. I’m excited to share some of those thoughts and learnings with you. We will start with a physical warm up that will prepare you in a safe and healthy way to dance to the fullest. We will explore set movement material and dive into clarity and details of the technique. And then we dive inwards - Physically and mentally. Your mind as your power tool.
the description reflects an artist’s idea which was developed at the time it was submitted to b12. it may have changed by the time the workshop or the performance project is starting. please stay flexible. thank you!
