radical tenderness

radical tenderness will focus on amplifying the awareness within the body and the mind, combining strength, softness, and organic flow, to find a deeper understanding of our movement and Rhythm. The workshop will begin with a warm-up, which includes a guided improvisation that will lead the body in becoming familiar with different movement qualities. in order to deepen and develop our movements, we will go through some technical exercises, which will challenge us by adding new ways of approaching the Floor, understanding rhythm, and travelling into space. following this, we will be learning different types of phrases and small bits of choreographic material, which will be a mix of existing material, as well as adding or adapting material that will be generated in the Workshop.

the description reflects an artist’s idea which was developed at the time it was submitted to b12. it may have changed by the time the workshop or the performance project is starting. please stay flexible. thank you!
