Satoshi Kudo
motion qualia
The work begins with physical practices of movement theory foundations to recognise the motion between being on- and off-balance. This increases an awareness of the constant movement surrounding you. My aim is to encourage participants to rediscover their sense of being off-balance, and thereby expand their range of movements. By playing with balance, primarily in partnering, participants acquire an ability to respond sensitively by means of delicate movements. While using this method, movements with potential to evoke emotions, not only for the viewer, but also within the person moving, are created. Motion Qualia encourages you to release local control of the body by embracing control in a bigger sense, through the physics of gravity and the body.
please be aware of our early bird special offer for this workshop! you can apply for this offer up until the 24th of march 2024. after the 24th the regular workshop fee applies. applications are accepted up until one day before the workshops starts.
