Bret is the Artistic Director of the non-profit BEMOVING, an organisation dedicated to building communal environments for the research, development, and dissemination of dance works and movement practices. He is also the co-creator of the Ghost Light Residency, a program which grants dance-theatre artists, from historically marginalised communities, the opportunity to further their craft inside of proscenium theatres of the greater Los Angeles area.

bemoving is a nonprofit organization led by LGBTQ+ dance makers and educators who are dedicated to building communal environments for the research, development, and dissemination of dance works and movement practices. We operate with three points of focus: engaging progressive artists to create innovative dance content for both live and digital consumption; hosting financially accessible high-calibre movement workshops for professional dancers and enthusiasts alike; and producing residency programs that enable dance artists from historically marginalised groups opportunities to further their craft.
