be moving

a workshop that prioritises dance as an opportunity to connect to joy, play and rejuvenation. extending upon ideas and concepts from gaga and the ilan lev method, the workshop will be filled with: movement meditations dedicated to building support, communication, and relief throughout the body; improvisational investments on the themes of commitment and surprise; simple tasks to unlock new choices when creating movement; and learning phrase-work designed to challenge coordination, speed, range, and musicality.

please be aware of our early bird special offer for this workshop! you can apply for this offer up until the 24th of march 2024. after the 24th the regular workshop fee applies. applications are accepted up until one day before the workshops starts.

bemoving

bemoving is a nonprofit organization led by LGBTQ+ dance makers and educators who are dedicated to building communal environments for the research, development, and dissemination of dance works and movement practices. We operate with three points of focus: engaging progressive artists to create innovative dance content for both live and digital consumption; hosting financially accessible high-calibre movement workshops for professional dancers and enthusiasts alike; and producing residency programs that enable dance artists from historically marginalised groups opportunities to further their craft.
