on the 25th of july, ‘deep space’ invites you to an engaging panel discussion with two established practitioners on the topics of education, life-long learning, and legacy through, as always, an intersectional lens. As a continuation of ideas from our workshop on July 4th, we will bring the collected thoughts, ideas and questions on the future of dance education to the fore and continue to engage with the following questions:
-
how has your dance education prepared you for the field (or not)?
-
is there a belief you have been taught or held that has transformed over time?
-
how do you perceive your relationship to learning as a dance/performance artist?
The aim of this panel is to create space for future thinking, fostering debate, sharing of best practices, and exchanging ideas. We hope to empower artists in looking forward towards the next iteration of dance education.
