roni chadash
choreographer
roni chadash (1990) is a choreographer, dancer and contemporary dance teacher based in tel aviv. in her movement research, roni is deconstructing the body into multiple joints that function independently. her continuous quest revolves around uncovering instinctive, emotional and unfiltered sources for movement. roni’s creations are marked by her daring attempt to deconstruct not only the body, but also the very essence of movement, visual representations, the dynamic interplay between the audience and the performers, and the act of the show itself. the way she deals with the body peels it from history, stereotypes and dictated labelling and confronts it with a naked present. in her initial years of creating, roni focused on solo works, exploring her body's instincts, desires and specific physicalities, which led to the development of a distinctive movement language and vocabulary. since 2017, she is collaborating with various performers, exploring the intersection between her movement language and their bodies. roni's works received numerous awards for their originality, in israel as well as abroad. her works are presented worldwide and she has been commissioned to create pieces for theatres abroad, including staatstheater kassel and pfalztheater kaiserslautern.
Between the Abstract to the defined
in this summer workshop, choreographer roni chadash opens a creative laboratory that investigates the delicate tension between the abstract, natural body and the definitions, titles and meanings we impose upon it. the lab invites participants to enter a space of inquiry, a meeting point between instinct and consciousness. through improvisation, somatic exploration and compositional research, we will examine how movement arises when the body takes the lead, when physical organs, impulses and sensations become the true choreographers. from this state of physical autonomy, we will begin to play with awareness, exploring the human need to name, define and shape our experiences. this tension between the uncontrolled and the constructed, between the organic and the conceptual, lies at the heart of roni’s choreographic practice. the workshop offers an opportunity to question authorship, identity and control in the creative process, and to rediscover the poetic intelligence of the body itself. participants are invited to bring curiosity, openness and a willingness to inhabit both freedom and form, to dance between the raw and the refined, and to experience how definition transforms movement and how movement can resist definition.

KOMOCO Unleashed
komoco unleashed is a performance project born from the company’s ongoing research into instinct, theatricality, and embodied expressivity. led by collaborator glenda gheller, the project highlights one of komoco’s essential qualities: the beauty of individuality within a shared artistic language. glenda brings her own unique approach to the research, shaping a space where dancers are invited to unleash the raw, personal layers of their physical and emotional worlds. through guided improvisation and explorations rooted in komoco’s methodology, performers move beyond form and allow intuition, sensation, and impulse to drive expression. vulnerability, tension, intimacy, and unpredictability become creative forces, revealing the deeply human presence at the centre of the work. komoco unleashed becomes both a performance and a laboratory, where glenda expands the company’s vision through her distinct artistic voice while honouring the individuality of each dancer. the last three days Sofia nappi will be present.
